Chennai (PTI): Trinidad and Tobago government has expressed its interest to have industrial relations with Indian information, communication, technology, energy and tourism sectors.
Apart from these sectors fish, fish processing, printing, packaging, food, film, music and entertainment industries are also targeted for investments, Urvashi Ramnarine First Secretary High Commission of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago said here today.
With the presence of Trinidad and Tobago between the Americas and with air and shipping connectivity, these sectors are targeted for investments, she added.
Expressing concern that the global meltdown has affected all these industries she said, the next three-four months' are very important for reviving it.
She said the bilateral trade between Trinidad and India stood under USD one million in 2007. The country's exports stood at USD 12.2 bn in 2007, while the imports stood at USD 7.49 bn during the corresponding period.
