Oriental Bank emerges as top gainer on BSE Bankex index

Oriental Bank of Commerce has emerged as the top gainer on the BSE Bankex index. The scrip is currently trading at Rs 274.40 per share, up 17.80 points or 6.94% on BSE.

The stock opened at Rs 256.60 is same as its previous close. Intraday, the counter touched a high and a low of Rs 283.60 and Rs 254, respectively.

So far, 3,34,287 shares of the company were traded on the BSE.

The stock touched its 52-week high of Rs 283.60 on October 16, 2009 and a 52-week low of Rs 94.60 on March 12, 2009.

The scrip has gained 11.06 % since the past one week and by 8.30% since the last one month.

The BSE Bankex index was trading at 10,596.93, up by 244.18 points or 2.36%.

Other major gainers on the index were Karnataka Bank up 6.44%, Union Bank up 4.99%, SBI up 4.70%, Allahabad Bank up 3.60% and Bank of Baroda up 3.32%.
